Igniting Black Excellence in Durham

July 7th, 2023

Nobellum and the Durham Region Association of Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs (DRABPE) hosted a night of celebration to showcase the talent and creativity of Durham’s Black business community while promoting opportunities for local entrepreneurs.

The night consisted of two panels:

  • “Navigating Entrepenurship in Durham”, featuring Boyd Reid (Co-Founder, COO, Hop in Tech), Sarah Butts (Co-Founder, Brite Athletics), and Keanu Barrage (Founder, Cheffrey).

  • “Ecomonic Opportunities in Durham”, featuring Melisa Ellis (Founder and CEO, Nobellum), Dane Lawrence (President, Durham Region Association of Black Professionals & Entrepeneurs), Samuel Twumasi (Manager, Economic Development and Tourism Town of Ajax), and Ross Cadastre (President, Black Business and Professional Association)

Attendees had the opportunity to hear from our featured panelists, connect with like-minded individuals, learn from experts in various fields, and leave feeling motivated and inspired
